15. Electrical Sensitivity (Electrohypersensitivity)

We are made up of cells that use electrical signalling 24×7. With today’s immersion in electropollution, a growing number of children and adults are getting overpowered by this man-made energy and developing Electrical Sensitivity (ES).

Some countries, like Sweden, recognize Electrical Sensitivity (ES) as a serious health condition and disability.

It was first diagnosed in Eastern Europe in the 1950s when radar operators became sick. At the time it was known as Radio Wave Sickness or Microwave Sickness.

Specialists in this area believe the triggers are long-term exposure to low intensity microwave radiation (like from our devices), and/or short-term exposure to h-i-g-h intensity wireless radiation. Previous exposure to mold, chemicals and/or heavy metals may be sensitizing co-factors.

Once ES symptoms start, the illness becomes progressively worse unless the environmental exposure to microwave radiation is removed.

Some studies that tried to provoke an ES response did not show a link between symptoms and exposure but the design of those provocation studies did not account for all factors. For example, for some test subjects the symptoms appeared with a delayed onset and this has not always been reflected in the studies.

However, studies that examine blood, heart rate variability (HRV) and other biological markers have identified changes from microwave radiation that account for ES symptoms.
